Brunei does not have specific legislation on consumer protection at present, currently reviewing the development of national consumer protection law.
However, there are related legislations that directly or indirectly influence consumer welfare such as the Price Control Act, the Weights and Measures Act, Inventions Act, Copyright Order, Unfair Contract Terms Act, etc.
Consumer can complain or claim for any loss incurred (in respect of any goods or services purchased or acquired) by contact the Department of Economic Planning and Development (JPKE).
