Consumer Rights Association

The Turkish Consumer Rights Association is an independant, not-for-profit, non-government organisation established in January 1991. The Association headquarters in Ankara and has 43 local branches. It is mainly a voluntary organisation made up of pensioners, government officials, workers, engineers, laywers and housewives.

The association’s purpose and principles:

  • The objective of association is dissemination of the consumer protection, confront fraud and disseminate consumers’ right.
  • Vigorously promote and disseminate the consumer rights.
  • Create an independent and effective consumer movement to help the consumers knows the law, and creating a conscious consumer audience.
  • Uphold the safe, inexpensive, healthy, not harmful to the environment and natural balance, and do not result in wasted resources.
