Croatian Association for Consumer Protection (CACP)

CACP, the first consumer organisation created in the independent Republic of Croatia was formed in 1997 and has a total membership of 2,000 individual members.

The organisation is strictly independent and non-political and it has become a household name for consumer protection in the last ten years. Its main activities are: to increase the general level of consumer protection through new laws of relevance to consumers; consumer education; campaigning on basic consumer rights, with a particular focus on vulnerable consumers and protecting the public interest especially in services of general interest.

CAPC also offers individual consumer support through the handling and solving of an average 800 to 1,000 complaints per year.
