The Oman Association for Consumer Protection (OACP) is an independent, not-for-profit and non-government organisation established in 2003. Its aim is to defend and educate consumers on issues such as the quality, safety and pricing of goods and services and misleading product claims and advertising.
OACP achieve this by handling complaints from consumers and through the dissemination of brochures and publications and the organisation of public lectures and seminars.
The association work as a platform for Omani citizens to know and gain their potential rights and duties to lead a secular life in the society. It focuses the youth leadership to the global learning environment.
The term of office of the Board of Directors is two calendar years from the date of its election. Its members may be re-elected for similar period.
